Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_ Acting President of Aswan University, and the staff of Aswan University, Deans, Academic staff, all workers and students, extend their deepest condolences to President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi _President of the Republic, and Egyptian people and armed forces to the family of Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawy, chairman  of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces For and the former Minister of Defense and Military Production – who passed away today, May his soul rest in eternal peace.

His Excellency indicated that Egypt has lost today one of the most sincere men, a righteous son of its righteous sons, a hero of our armed forces and a hero of the glorious October War, who bore the responsibility of the country in a difficult period.

Prof. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar _Minister of Higher Education and scientific research _ received a report from Prof. Ashraf Al-Azazy _ Head of cultural affairs and Mission sector_ on opening registration for CHEVENING scholarships offered by the United Kingdom for 2022/2023 fully funded by the Foreign affairs office, Commonwealth, development, to get Master degree for one year from one of the leading universities in the united kingdom, and it is granted to outstanding and emerging leaders in all study fields.

The report indicated that these scholarships come on the top of the list of Universities scholarships which that student’s from all the world are waiting for it. Enrollment for the scholarship through the  link:

The report also indicated that the scholarship allows choosing three postgraduate programs in three various universities in the UK, Provided that an unconditional acceptance is obtained from one of these universities.

The report showed that the scholarship funded by the mission affairs office, commonwealth, development, for postgraduates studies including study fees, monthly salary to cover living expenses, Health assurance, and also accommodation, flight expenses (round trip).

The General Administration for Missions in the ministry will not pay any expenses for these scholarships.

Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman _ acting president of Aswan University_ expressed his deepest thanks, appreciation and gratitude to the political leadership and the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and thanks also Dr. Mostafa Madbouly_ Prime Minister_ and Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar_ Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to renew confidence to be Acting President of Aswan University on 6/9/2021, Prof. Ayman Othman also presented his thanks, appreciation and gratitude to the deans of faculties, vice deans, Academic staff, assistants, employees and students of the university who bore the responsibility in raising the university’s name high to the top among international and Egyptian universities.

It is worth mentioning that Republican Decree No. 1955 of 2017 about appointing Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman Abo Zeid – Vice President of Aswan University for Postgraduate Studies and Research for a period of four years. Prof. Ayman Othman was also appointed as Dean of Faculty of Engineering. Osman obtained a PhD from the United States of America in 1995 in highways and airport engineering specialty. He also appointed as an advisor to the Ministry of Transportation in Saudi Arabia in the field of maintenance of roads and bridges. His Excellency held many administrative positions at Aswan University, starting from the head of the Civil Engineering Department at Faculty of Engineering, then as an vice dean for graduate studies and ending with the position of Dean of the Faculty for two consecutive terms from 2011 to 2017, then Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, then Acting President of Aswan University.
