Launching the events of Mawada project in Aswan University to keep the Egyptian family

Today, Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman _Acting president of Aswan University _ witnessed the events of Mawada project initiative to keep the Egyptian family which launched by Prof. Abdel-fattah El-sisi _Republic president_ and in cooperation with Ministry of Social Solidarity with leadership of Dr. Nevin Al-kabag_ Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Randa Fares_ Manager of the project_ and that in attendance of Prof. Magdy Mohamed Ali_ vice president of university and Dr. Mohamed Fawzi Wali _ Training Advisor of Mawada Project in the Ministry, Mamdouh El-Masri_ executive coordinator of the project, the team work of social solidarity unit in the university and a group of Academic staff in university faculties, Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman emphasized during his speech that the team work of social solidarity unit in the university and a group of Academic Staff in university faculties.     

Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman stressed during his speech that the Mawadah Project initiative is a national initiative launched by President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi_ President of the Republic_ during the Sixth Youth Conference in 2018, which aims to reduce the divorce rate in Egypt by qualifying young people planning marriage and newlyweds. Today, training of Academic Staff trainers activities were launched from University Academic Staff within the framework of the national project to preserve the entity of The Egyptian family which will continue from 4 to 5 September 2021, in order to be able to train students and knowing them to the content of Mawada project. Aswan University also suggested that a curriculum taught to university students, it includes courses that increase the cultural and family awareness of students Regarding Egyptian family issues and among young people.

Aswan University ranked first at the level of Egyptian universities in Times Higher Education ranking

Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_ Acting President of Aswan University, stated that Aswan University has achieved first place in the largest and most diversified universities ranking so far; Aswan University is ranked first at the level of Egyptian universities and among the top 500 universities in the world according to the Times Higher Education ranking, which is based on 13 performance indicators calibrated carefully by measuring the institution’s performance through teaching, scientific research, transferring knowledge and international expectations.

His Excellency added that keeping the top harder than reaching it, and this new achievement, comes in addition to Aswan University’s practical and research achievements, is a result of the efforts of the university administration over the past years in various research, educational, academic and construction fields and sectors, and the extent of the university’s relationship with the surrounding environment and its societal impact.

On the other hand, His Excellency indicated that Aswan University has obtained many scientific and research titles among international universities recently, which has earned it a good academic reputation among universities, and This is the culmination of the societal, scientific, environmental and research efforts performed by Aswan University Until it became a scientific and research edifice in southern Upper Egypt, the number of its faculties reached 21 faculties and the Institute of African Studies and Nile states researches and studies.

 

Corona virus vaccination begins in preparation for the new Academic year

According to the directions of the state and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in launching Corona Virus Vaccine campaign, Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_ Acting President of Aswan University, confirmed that yesterday, the vaccination works for Academic Staff, administrative staff and university students with Corona virus vaccine, in coordination with Aswan University Hospital.

His Excellency added that Aswan University is keen to vaccinate its staff, and it aims to reach 37,000 people  from Academic Staff and their assistants, students and employees. Four committees have been allocated to receive and provide vaccines at the university campus in Sahari and the university campus in Aswan Al-gadeda, Faculty of Engineering in Abo El-Rish, and Aswan University Hospital, with full commitment With all precautionary measures.

Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury_ Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aswan University Hospitals, indicated that coordination has been made between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Health and Population, to vaccinate Academic staff, administrators, and students in Egyptian universities and university hospitals in preparation for the new academic year 2021/2022.

Dr. Ashraf Mebed, the Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, declared that a medical committee was formed to visit the headquarters of the committees designated to receive the vaccine, including the University Hospital in Aswan, and this comes within the framework of providing medical service to the university’s workers. Aswan University Hospital is providing serum and medical staff, while taking all precautionary measures to confront Corona virus.

Dr. Mohamed Sobhi_ Director General of the Medical administration at the university, added that in coordination between the medical administration and the university hospital, the places and nursing staff were provided to give the vaccine to the university’s staff inside the university campus in Sahari, amid applying the  precautionary measures to preserve their safety, and Sobhi also mentioned that students will be vaccinated for the next academic year, during that the medical examination at the headquarters of their faculties.
