The Faculty Council for May of the academic year 2024–2025 was held today, Monday, May 12, 2025, under the chairmanship of Prof. Ashraf Imam Abdel-Radhi – Vice President of the University for Environment Affairs and Community Service, and Acting Dean of the Faculty – with the attendance of Prof. Alaa Hassan Nour El-Din – Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Moatamad Rifaat Mohamed – Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Ali Mohamed Ali Hamdan – Vice Dean for Environment Affairs and Community Service, along with the heads of academic departments and Academic staff. The council was held in the Faculty Council Hall and addressed various faculty-related matters as well as new and emerging issues.

The General Administration of Youth Care (Cultural Activity Department) announces holding cultural workshops and competitions through the participation of university students in the national project for human development “New Beginning” under the auspices of Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat – Acting President of the University and Mr. Hatem Yousry Youssef – Director General of Central Student Care

In the following fields:

(1) The field of TV reporter – literary fields (story – novel – playwriting – Screenplay and dialogue)

(2) Competitions (Holy Quran / Hadiths of the Prophet / Information League Competition / Poetry Competition / Short Story Competition / Television Competition / Arabic Calligraphy). This is to escalate them to participate in creativity competitions and summit competitions at the level of Egyptian universities

First: Workshop:

TV reporter workshop

Literary fields workshop (novel – playwriting – scenario and dialogue)

Second: Holy Quran competition

Memorization of the Holy Quran with Tajweed rules (the number is open)

Third: Nawawi Hadith competition:-

Memorizing the forty Nawawi Hadiths

Knowledge of the meanings of the Hadith and its intended meaning

Faculty of Science held a seminar today, corresponding to Wednesday, September 25, 2024, under the patronage of Prof. Ashraf Imam Abdel-Razek, Dean of the Faculty, entitled “Guidelines for Prevention Against Bacterial Infections.” The seminar was presented by Dr. Nora Sharkawy Abazid, Assistant Professor of Bacteriology in the Botany Department and Director of the Quality Assurance Unit.

The seminar attended by Prof. Ali Mohamed Ali Hemdan, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environment Development; Prof. Abo Elhamd Hassan, Head of the Chemistry Department; Prof. Ayman Al-Amin, Head of the Physics Department; and Prof. Maher Ibrahim Abdel-Rahim, Professor in Geology Department, Prof. Ezzat Abdel-Rahman, Emeritus Professor in the Geology Department; Dr. Marwa Abdel-Fattah Moghazi, Lecturer in the Chemistry Department and Deputy Director of the Unit; Dr. Doaa Montaser, Lecturer in the Botany Department and Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance Unit; and Ms. Asmaa Awad, Faculty Secretary, along with a number of Academic staff, their assistants, and employees from the Faculty.

The seminar highlighted the various ways bacterial infections can spread and how to prevent them.
