Student Guide to Quality’ aims to raise awareness of the role of students in ensuring quality education

Under the patronage of Prof Dr. Abu Al-Hamd Hassan Mohammed, Dean of the Faculty of Science, the Faculty’s Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit organized a workshop entitled “A Student’s Guide to Quality” on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. The workshop was presented by Dr. Noura Sharqawi Abazeed, Assistant Professor in the Botany Department.

The workshop was held as part of the Faculty’s commitment to promoting a culture of quality among students and raising their awareness of their pivotal role in supporting the quality assurance system for the educational process and striving towards academic accreditation.

The workshop addressed several key topics, including introducing students to the concept of quality in higher education, accreditation standards, mechanisms for students to evaluate courses and faculty members, and ways to submit constructive proposals that contribute to improving academic performance within the Faculty.

The event witnessed a distinguished attendance and significant interaction from the Faculty’s students, who expressed their appreciation for such initiatives that contribute to their active participation in the development and decision-making process.
