Faculty of Science Council discusses updates for November 2025

The Faculty of Science Council at Aswan University convened today, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, for the November session of the 2025/2026 academic year. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Abu Al-Hamd Hassan Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty, and attended by the following members:

 

Prof. Mohamed Abdel Moneim Raslan, Vice President of Taibah University for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Emeritus in the Chemistry Department;

Prof. Alaa Hassan Nour El-Din, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs;

Prof. Mo’tamed Refaat Mohamed, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research;

Prof. Alaa El-Din Salah El-Din, Head of the Zoology Department;

Prof. Saber El-Kabir, Head of the Mathematics Department;

Prof. Ibrahim Bayoumi, Head of the Botany Department;

Prof r. Badr Mohamed Ali, Head of the Physics Department;

Prof. Ahmed Rashad, Professor in the Mathematics Department;

Prof. Etemad Ahmed Awad Allah, Professor in the Zoology Department;

Prof. Maher Ibrahim, Professor in the Geology Department;

Prof. Osama Mahlal – Professor in the Botany Department,

Dr. Atiyat Montaser – Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department,

Dr. Esmat Hassan – Lecturer in the Physics Department,

and Ms. Asmaa Awad Mohamed – Faculty Secretary.

 

The meeting was held in the Faculty Council Hall, where the council discussed several academic and administrative matters related to the Faculty, as well as any new works

 

 

A distinguished scientific day at Faculty of Science, Aswan University

On a remarkable scientific day, the Faculty of Science, particularly the Department of Zoology, demonstrated its excellence and commitment to its esteemed faculty and promising young researchers. The Faculty was honored to host Professor Oliver Kraimer, Professor of Cancer and Epigenetics, who delivered a valuable scientific lecture covering current topics related to cancer and epigenetics. The event concluded with an open discussion with Academic staff and researchers, during which several important scientific points were clarified and questions from the audience were answered.

The day was marked by outstanding attendance and rich interaction from Academic staff, teaching assistants, and students from various disciplines and academic years, from first to fourth year. This constructive scientific engagement was reflected in the guest’s impression, as he appeared pleased and engaged, appreciating the level of discussion and the warm welcome.

Professor Kraimer also toured the research laboratories, student labs, and the presentation hall, expressing his admiration for the scientific equipment and the efforts made to enhance the educational and research system at the Faculty. All thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to the organization, attendance, and active participation.

And all respect and pride to our students who lived up to the honorable image of the Faculty.

Supreme Council of Universities announces the Date for the Supplementary Subject Exams

The Supreme Council of Universities has announced the schedule for holding the supplementary exams, which will take place during the first week of the following months —”January, April, August, and November” — for the Academic year 2025/2026.

The student (foreign/Egyptian) must be enrolled in one of the Egyptian universities (public, private, or national) or higher institutes affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education, and some entities are subject to the direct supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education.

The students targeted to take these tests are students with Arab or other certificates who are missing some subjects that they did not take during secondary school, and which are required of them before completing university, such as:

* Arabic Language

* Religious Education

* National Education

* Biology

* Some foreign languages (French – Italian – German – English)
