Corona virus vaccination begins in preparation for the new Academic year

According to the directions of the state and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in launching Corona Virus Vaccine campaign, Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_ Acting President of Aswan University, confirmed that yesterday, the vaccination works for Academic Staff, administrative staff and university students with Corona virus vaccine, in coordination with Aswan University Hospital.

His Excellency added that Aswan University is keen to vaccinate its staff, and it aims to reach 37,000 people  from Academic Staff and their assistants, students and employees. Four committees have been allocated to receive and provide vaccines at the university campus in Sahari and the university campus in Aswan Al-gadeda, Faculty of Engineering in Abo El-Rish, and Aswan University Hospital, with full commitment With all precautionary measures.

Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury_ Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aswan University Hospitals, indicated that coordination has been made between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Health and Population, to vaccinate Academic staff, administrators, and students in Egyptian universities and university hospitals in preparation for the new academic year 2021/2022.

Dr. Ashraf Mebed, the Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, declared that a medical committee was formed to visit the headquarters of the committees designated to receive the vaccine, including the University Hospital in Aswan, and this comes within the framework of providing medical service to the university’s workers. Aswan University Hospital is providing serum and medical staff, while taking all precautionary measures to confront Corona virus.

Dr. Mohamed Sobhi_ Director General of the Medical administration at the university, added that in coordination between the medical administration and the university hospital, the places and nursing staff were provided to give the vaccine to the university’s staff inside the university campus in Sahari, amid applying the  precautionary measures to preserve their safety, and Sobhi also mentioned that students will be vaccinated for the next academic year, during that the medical examination at the headquarters of their faculties.

 

 

Aswan University President honors the first places winners from Teaching Assistants at Leadership Development Institute in Helwan

Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_ Acting President of Aswan University_ got the Certificate of distinction of Aswan University from the Leadership Development Institute in Helwan, and this was done through a delegation of Academic Staff at and Teaching assistants who won first places in the Leadership Development Institute, and this was in attendance of Dr. Yasser Abdel-Hamid _ Dean of Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources – and Dr. Ayman Abdel-Ghaffar _ Dean of Faculty of Law _ this is for the Commander-in-Chief preparation course _in its first session. 

Then the delegation expressed its thanks and appreciation to His Excellency for the continuous support and gratitude for the role of University President in harnessing all capabilities of the University to encourage creativity and excellence.

For his part, Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman handed over certificates of appreciation for their outstanding performance in the special competitions between Egyptian universities, their obtaining first place in the cultural competition, their obtaining first place in football, as well as first place in the essay competition for the article of Mr / Ahmed Osama Al-Qadi _Assistant Lecture at Faculty of Law_ (the triangle of law, governance and good administration).

Aswan University was represented by Dr. Ayman Adly Kadry, assistant Lecturer at Faculty of Social Work, Dr. Ahmed Osama Abdel-Fattah_Assistant Lecturer at Faculty of Law, Dr. Yasmin Ali Mohamed_ Teaching assistant at Faculty of Law, Dr. Ahmed Raslan Mohamed_ teaching assistant at Faculty of Agriculture, and Dr. Mahmoud Saad Abdel-Radi Adam – Teaching Assistant at Faculty of Agriculture. 

University President and the participating delegation also thanked and appreciated the management of Leadership Development Institute in Helwan for their good reception and management of the course, headed by Prof. Karim Hammam – Director of the Institute for Leadership Development in Helwan – and Dr. Abdel Moneim Al-Jilani – Vice Dean of the Institute – and Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa – Vice Dean of the Institute.
