Under the slogan “Preserve your right – play your role – say no to corruption” within “sports is a national security” events at Aswan University

On Monday, Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Aswan University President, witnessed the activities of the presidential initiative, Sports is a National Security, in attendance of Dr. Adel Mekki, Dean of Faculty of Physical Education_ Dr. Abdel Hakim Rizk, Vice Dean of Faculty of Physical Education in Assiut, and Dr. Abdel- Rahman Abdel- Basset, former Dean of Faculty of Physical Education. And a group of leaders of sports community, which comes in frame of implementing the initiative of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi – President of the Republic. Sports is a national security. The Faculty of Physical Education is implementing it at Aswan University under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of the University, Dr. Mohammad Sobhi Hassanein, Deputy Minister of the Universities Sports Federation, and Dr. Hisham El-Gyoushi – Secretary of the Universities Sports Federation.

Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Aswan university President, stressed the importance of sport in the lives of students and its implementation as a way of life within the events of the celebration of the International Anti-Corruption Day and the celebration of the International Day of People with Special Needs, within the presidential initiative of Sport is a National Security in attendance of university students of Faculty of Education In light of the celebration of the International Day in the field of preventing the sources of corruption and working to combat it, raising awareness of indicators of measuring and realizing corruption and spreading community awareness through the Applied Sports Festival to celebrate this occasion in light of the community awareness for our students, employees, Academic staff and their assistants under the slogan “Preserve your right – play your role – say no to corruption”. Which was held under the supervision of Dr. Adel Mekki – Dean of Faculty of Physical Education and Dr. Hazem Abdalla Al-Jamal – Head of the Anti-Corruption Committee and Dean of Faculty of Al-Alsun.

Dr. Adel Makki – Dean of Faculty of Physical Education added at the end of the sports day that these events come under the slogan “Preserve your right – play your role – say no to corruption to educate students and society about the dangers of corruption that eliminate institutions, as well as the celebration includes the participation of outstanding students of special needs and their honor.” With the presentation of sports presentations and the inauguration of the practical day of the Department of Sports Administration and recreation at the Stadium of Faculty of Physical Education in Sahari, in attendance of a large number of students, Academic staff and their assistants in the faculty, and faculty’s guests from the faculties of Physical Education in Assiut, with sports shows that fight corruption in all its forms. Students carried banners expressing the fight against corruption. .

Students of Faculty of Archeology decorate two murals at the airport entrance, on Sahari road

Under the auspices of Dr. Ayman Mahmoud Othman – President of Aswan University and in the framework of the fruitful and constructive cooperation between the university and Aswan Governorate, led by Major General Ashraf Attia – Governor of Aswan and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Farman – Assistant Professor of Egyptian Archeology at Faculty of Archeology and governorate advisor, in frame of Aswan University’s societal role towards Society and the surrounding environment. The students of Faculty of Archeology, teaching assistants and students of the Department of Archeology Restoration, under the supervision of Dr. Radwan Abdel Radi – Vice Dean for Community Affairs and Environment Development, and Dr. Ayman Salah Taha – Acting Head of the Department of Restoration, raised the efficiency of the murals located at the entrance to Aswan Airport, which were implemented by students of  Faculty of Specific Education, Aswan University, from drawings inspired by nature on the murals, and for exposing them to the sun and dust, the students of Faculty of Archeology raised their efficiency again so that they appear in the beautiful aesthetic appearance and the appropriate civilized form and working to restore their colors again so that they are in their best forms to receive the guests of the capital of culture, economy and Arab African youth. The work team also included a number of teaching assistants from faculty departments, namely Masoud Abdel-Hamid Al-Mekkawi, Department of Restoration, Hassan Shaaban Hassan, Department of Restoration, and Ahmed Ezz El-Din Mohammad _Islamic department_ and faculty students.

Activating a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and International Microsoft company

Under Patronage of Prof. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar_ Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Education_ and under supervision of Prof. Mohamed Mostafa Latif_ Secretary of the supreme council of Universities_ and in the frame of activating the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Education and the Global Microsoft company which includes presenting training programs on the Modern technical solutions for Academic Staff and Students.

Egyptian Universities Network in the center of Knowledge and Electronic service in the supreme council of Universities in coordination with Microsoft Company to provide various training programs and resources which some of it include internationally accredited tests to get accredited certificates from Microsoft company on the Modern technical solution and that for Academic Staff and their Assistants and the government university students and This is without additional charges.

A group of introductory symposiums were held for Academic staff and their assistants in Egyptian Universities remotely through Microsoft Teams, the symposium will continue to be held to include the rest of the Academic Staff, their assistants and Egyptian university students. 

An electronic application of “Learning Hub” has been provided through the Microsoft Teams platform available to Academic staff and students in Egyptian universities, which facilitates access to these training resources and helps to the Governance of Training and managing it effectively, taking over training and answering questions from attendees by experts from Microsoft.
