Aswan University hospital announces conducting kidney transplant soon

Aswan University president Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed declared that in frame of implementing state and Higher education ministry directives to raise the efficiency of University hospitals and working on reducing burden on patient in Aswan and upper Egypt governorates, and a preparatory meeting was held headed by Dr. Mohamed Zaki Dahshouri_ Faculty of Medicine dean and Director of  Kidney transplant program at Aswan University Hospital_ in order to know the readiness of Aswan University Hospital in preparation for inviting the specialized committee through the Ministry of Health to start kidney transplant at Aswan University Hospital, in attendance of Dr. Ashraf Mebed_ Executive manager of Aswan University Hospitals.

Dr. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshouri _ Faculty of Medicine Dean_ added that the Urology department is being developed,   in preparing for conducting kidney transplant operations in university hospital. The meeting was attended by members of Urology department, Nephrology department, and clinical pathology department, Anesthesiology department, the staff has been trained in major specialized hospitals such as Dr. Mohamed Ghonaim center  in Mansoura, in order to prepare the qualified manpower scientifically, medically and administratively, Working on providing all necessary means as devices, laboratories, intensive care operating rooms, after performing kidney transplant surgeries and the important preparations for receiving the committee entrusted with granting licenses to start kidney transplant at Aswan University Hospital.

This approach is to solve the problems of Renal failure patients who frequent the dialysis units in the governorate and the neighboring governorates of Upper Egypt, Dr. Ashraf Mebed, Executive manager of University Hospitals_ indicated that the meeting dealt with all the requirements for conducting kidney transplant operations at Aswan university Hospital, which have a great impact on patients and their families from Health, social and economic aspects in terms of the patient with Renal failure stops working, which affects on family income, as it imposes great economic burdens on the state during the period of illness, and kidney transplant operations are less expensive for the patient than the cost of dialysis, but they make him able to work, produce, improve gradually and carry out his tasks in his life better.

Digital Transformation Committee visits Aswan University hospital

Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed declared that in frame of implementing the directives of state, Ministry of higher Education and scientific research and university hospitals sector and working on implementing state plan to transform university hospitals to smart hospital.

The digital transformation committee visits university hospital to inspect university potential  in different departments and working on transforming it to smart hospital and in attendance of Dr. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshoury _Faculty of Medicine dean, Dr. Ashraf Mebed _ Director of university hospitals.

Aswan University hospital is one of first stage hospitals of this project which its goals to automate university hospital to save time and effort to patient and university hospital health system.

Dr/Mohamed Zaki Dahshoury _Faculty of Medicine dean_ added that the university hospital has good infrastructure and this will connect Aswan University with universities hospitals and entering electronic health system that will be implemented starting from 2021, and this digital and smart transformation will provide great chance for physicians for implementing scientific research by providing patients’ data and records electronically.

Dr. Ashraf Mebed _Executive manager of university hospitals declared that the committee has inspected all departments of University hospital and that preparing to convert university hospital to smart hospital and that to serve patients and working on finishing paper-based system and replacing it with electronic system.

Aswan University President: A sports day for female students within the presidential initiative, Sports is national Security

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed_ Aswan University President_ declared that the sports day for female students at the university is a part of the activities of the Initiative of “Sports is national Security” launched by President. Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi_ President of the Republic.

Sports activities started in front of the administrative building of the university in Sahari today by walking with implementing all precautionary measures to confront corona virus, in attendance of prof. Adel Makki_ Faculty of Physical Education Dean.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab confirmed that the initiative in Aswan University is witnessing its fifth week since the beginning of the academic year under the presidential initiative” Sports is National security” and working on implementing the initiative of” our health in our sport “.

Aswan University is launching a marathon for female students only.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab added that the university’s stadium, which was equipped at the highest level, with a capacity of 2000 people, and includes a VIP hall, administrative offices and dressing rooms. All student activities and football competitions practiced on it, several multi-purpose courts have also been completed as courts of “basketball, volleyball , beach ball and handball, and the university today has the ability to host student festivals, sports events and university tournaments that are held through student activities during the academic year 2020/2021,  According to the directives of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Supreme Council of Universities.

Prof. Adel Makki _ Faculty of Physical Education Dean _ indicated that the faculty developed an plan for implementing the initiative to allocate two days for everyone to participate in sports every Sunday and Tuesday of every week under the concept of” sport became a way of life.
