Information Technology institute anticipate opening its branch in Aswan with graduating a new batch of trainees

Today, the first day for discussing graduation projects for students of Information technology institute and that in Software Engineering fundamentals via video conference technology, the discussions were under supervision of Eng. Ahmed Salem_ director of Egypt digital innovation center in Aswan and in attendance of Dr. Mohamed Eid _Diretor of Information and communication network center in Aswan University, Eng. Ahmed Saleh _Director of Egypt digital innovation Centre in Qena.

It was obvious through the discussions of the professional level projects which were presented also the experiences which were acquired by students during their studies at the institute.

It worth noting that the Ministry of communication and information Technology had signed an agreement with Aswan University to establish a headquarter of Egypt digital innovation center (creativa) inside university which contain branches to Information technology institute and information technology innovation & Entrepreneurship center and the national communication institute, that the finishing works of the new headquarter will be completed at the end of February 2021, that all training works of the institute will be transferred to the new headquarters as soon as it is completed, that the efforts of Aswan university and ministry of communication and information technology to prepare new generations of young people who are able to compete with high-quality products in the global software market. 

Training course

Information technology institute in cooperation with Aswan University and the Arab Academy for science and technology announces holding a course entitled “IT Egypt 101 train of trainers”

  • The course aims to support Egyptian universities efforts in adding more diverse topics to computer courses presented to their students.
  • The course is a free scholarship.
  • Registration is available for academic staff and their assistants from Aswan University and the Arab Academy for science and technology.
  • The duration of the course is 45 hours.
  • The course will be held from 24th January 2021 until 4th February 2021, the study is from Sunday to Thursday every week from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm in the first week and from 9:00 to 12:30 in the second week
  • The training will be carried out through E-learning techniques, so every trainer can attend the course anywhere.
  • Registration will be closed on 17th January 2021, and the names will be announced the following day.

Aswan University President receives Dr. Mamdouh Al-Domyati _ Former Minister of Antiquities, preparing for establishing postgraduate studies at Faculty of Archeology

Today, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed_Aswan UNiversity President met Dr. Mamdouh Al-Domyati_ Former Minister of Antiquities and Head of Antiquities Sector Committee in university headquarter in Sahari.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab_ Aswan University President, confirmed that the aim of the visit is to increase technical support and inspect Faculty of Archeology preparing for the establishment of postgraduate studies at Faculty of Archeology in Aswan, in attendance of Prof. Ayman Othman, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Badawi Ismail_ Dean of Faculty of Archeology in Luxor and a member of the  Antiquities Committee in the supreme council of universities, Dr. Gharib Mahmoud Taha_ Dean of Faculty of Archeology in Aswan_ and Dr. Omar Abo Zaid, Vice-Dean of Faculty of Archeology in Aswan.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab accompanied by Dr. Mamdouh Al-Damati and the accompanying delegation on an inspection tour in the university to find out the latest field, educational developments, logistical capabilities and human resources in the faculty. On the sidelines of this visit, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab_ Aswan University President_ presented to Dr. Mamdouh Al-Damati_ Former Minister of Antiquities_ a shield and medal of Aswan University in honor of his efforts in field of monuments and his scientific contributions in serving and advancing monuments sector. They discussed during the meeting the development of Faculty of Archeology at Aswan University and its role in Africa and preserving archaeological sites in Africa and discuss ways of cooperation between UNESCO and Faculty of Archeology _ Aswan University_ and how to apply ways of interest and projects in field of monuments and museums.
