Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman _Aswan University president inspects the exams committees of the first semester for the Academic year 2021/2022, which was launched today, based on the decision of the supreme council of Universities, that the exams are performed by 24 thousand students in the different Academic years in all faculties, and the institute of African research and studies, and the inspection tour included Faculties of Agriculture and Natural resources in University Headquarter in Sahary.

For His side, his excellency assured that the university prepared to the first semester exams with many precautionary in different faculties, as providing halls to accommodate the number of students and to achieve safe social distancing, with providing medical and nursing teams in all faculties and committees, providing ambulance cars in the university campus, stressing applying all precautionary measures, including providing thermometers, and sterilization gates at the entrances to the university and faculties to examine and check on students, And to form a higher committee in the university administration to follow up the implementation of the precautionary rules and procedures established on a daily basis through the higher committees formed in each faculty.

His Excellency added that all means of facilitation and comfort are provided for university students to complete the first semester exams in a good manner, wishing success for all students, he was accompanied by Dr. Yasser Abdel-Hamid _ Faculty of Agriculture and natural resources dean, Vice deans, Dr. Atef Ibrahim_ Faculty of Science dean, Islam Youssef_ Student Union Affairs Coordinator – in order to check on the progress of the first semester examinations.

 

Aswan University Council No. 114, was held today headed by Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_ Aswan University president, in attendance of Major General/ Ashraf Attia _ Aswan Governor, Faculties Deans, Aswan University advisors, Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman started with congratulating Abdel-Fattah El-sisi _President of the republic_ on occasion of the new year, university council thanked and appreciated the political leadership on occasion of his visitation to Aswan which added joy and pleasure to Aswan people and inaugurated many national projects.

Major General. Ahraf attia_ Aswan governor_ assured the importance of the visit of President of the Republic to Aswan that which was beautified and decorated for reception, His excellency, the governorate gets many benefits during his Visit from opening National Projects in Aswan that benefit Aswan people, from real sustainable development, especially in implementing Visual Vision project that make Aswan governorate to be one of the most important tourism destinations in the world.

Major General/ Ashraf Attia assured the importance of the role of the university as it the Centre of Expertise in various Engineering, Medical, Scientific, research fields, that Aswan governorate witnessed great development in the infrastructure as Al-samad Road which will be finished at Maximum duration of 8 months, many Roads that under construction in the governorate, which will transfer the governorate to its natural place as the capital of culture, economy and Arab-African youth. The Infrastructure is one of the most important factors attracting investment to the governorate.

Dr. Ayman Othman _ University president_ indicated the university preparations for the first semester exams according to the time map and timetable approved by the Supreme Council of Universities for the current academic year 2021/2022, on 13^rd January 2022 for the end of the first semester in universities,

His excellency stressed applying precautionary measures as wearing masks, take into attention the social distance in the committees, measuring temperature and other from the precautionary measures that preserve students and employees from corona virus.

On the sideline of the council, Major general. Ahraf Attia_ Aswan governor, prof. Ayman Othman _ Aswan University_ Honored Dr. Ahmed Farman_ Lecturer in Faculty of Archaeology and the tourism advisor for the governorate,  to be honored by the President of the Republic for his efforts in the visual vision project that is implemented in the governorate, and Dr. Iman Wagdy, Head of the Art Education Department at Faculty of Specific Education, for their artistic and creative efforts in drawing artistic paintings at the entrances and streets of the governorate during the visit of President /Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi_ President of the Republic.

Aswan University, in cooperation with the Egyptian Society for Cancer Research, organizes the second international conference entitled:

Biodiversity and its relationship to national security (cancer and biomedical sciences from laboratory to application)

From 12^nd to 13^th February 2022.

 The objectives of the conference: the conference aims to deepen the cooperation and scientific interdependence and consolidation of relations of basic and applied sciences in the Egyptian National Security and that through using the scientific Applications to solve health problems as cancer and covid 19 for better life for Egyptians and that in line with Egypt plan 2030 for sustainable development and the initiative of “Hayaa kareema” under patronage of President Abdel-fattah El-Sisi.

The conference will be held at Aswan University campus in attendance of a group of senior Scholars, and it will include students from all grade levels.
