Egypt Digital Youth Initiative for September 2022

The National Telecommunication Institute announces the start of registration for the Egypt Digital Youth Initiative for September 2022 for final year students.

and young graduates in order to qualify their skills for labor market through specialized training programs and Capabilities development to keep pace with technological progress.

The scholarship is available for all disciplines starting from the batch of 2014 until 2022, knowing that the deadline for registration is 29th July 2022.

University President emphasizes the importance of University Centres for Career development in public Universities

Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_ Aswan University President_ stressed the importance of university centres for career development in public universities during his opening of the activities of the fourth session on “Survey of establishments to survey the opinion on the skills required in the labor market in attendance of Laila Saadi_ Director of the University for Career Development Centre at the university, Mr. Sayed Abdel-Fattah -Public Relations and Communication Officer at the Labor Market Observatory Centre at the Ministry of Higher Education – and Dr. Heba Rashid – representative of the International Labor Organization, and the team of Jisr Company for Surveys Research.

His Excellency added that the course will continue for 5 days with the participation of 13 volunteer students at Aswan University, whereas they were trained on methods and methodologies for data collection from business owners, adding that the staff of professional development centres were trained to supervise the process of collecting, analyzing and publishing information, to obtain Quantitative and qualitative information about the needs of the local labor market, the prevailing trends and the challenges facing business owners in hiring university graduates, in addition to the skills required in the various economic sectors in the governorate.

In the same context, Laila Saadi_ Director of the University Centre for Career Development, explained that for the first time in Egypt a special electronic system will be used for all Career development centers, in order to facilitate the process of collecting and analyzing information, explaining that this system has been activated with the support of the International Labor Organization and the Labor Market Observatory of the Ministry Higher Education.

The implementation of this survey comes within the framework of activities to enhance the capabilities of workers in these centers, as it is one of the components of the University Centers project for Career Development implemented by the American University in Cairo in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development and the International Labor Organization, which aims to establish 20 centers for Career development in 13 Egyptian public universities.
