Optical measurements of (1) sample were made with a visible and ultraviolet spectroscopy device for (Dr. Thuraya Muhammad Mahmoud), Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, College of Science at the University.

Optical measurements of (1) sample were made with a visible and ultraviolet spectroscopy device for (Mahitab Kazem Mahrous), a researcher at the University’s College of Engineering.

Electrical measurements were made for (6) samples for (May Sayed Hamada), teaching assistant in the Physics Department, Faculty of Science at the university.

Laboratory measurements

Optical measurements were made of a number of samples using an infrared spectroscopy device (M/Mahitat Nazim), a researcher from abroad at the University’s Faculty of Engineering.

Optical measurements of (2) samples were made with a visible and ultraviolet spectroscopy device for (Israa Al-Adel), a teaching assistant in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science at the university.

Electrical measurements were made for a number of samples using the electrical insulation laboratory measuring device by the researcher (Mohamed Anwar).

Optical measurements were made of a number of samples with an infrared spectroscopy device for the benefit of the researcher (Nasma Hussein), teaching assistant in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science at the university.

The doctoral dissertation of researcher Muhammad Anwar was extracted from abroad and the student was discussed at the college

A research paper was prepared by the Center’s Deputy Director, Dr. Ibrahim Muhammad Ali

Technical achievements report on what was accomplished at the Center for Nanometric Materials Research and Technology for the period from 7/1/2021 to 6/30/2022

All devices were identified and a test was conducted for each device to determine the extent of its use. The inspection committee found that the devices as a whole are working well.

Faculty members use the center’s equipment to conduct scientific research that is published in periodical journals with a high impact factor, which helps raise the efficiency of the department and college, as well as the university, in international classifications.

The Center’s page on the College of Science website has been updated and supported under the College’s Special Units section, to make it easier for the visitor to know the characteristics and capabilities of the laboratory, the available devices, and methods of measurement in it.

Making a future plan to conduct workshops inside the laboratory to accommodate the largest number of trainees in the optical and electrical measurements programs within the unit in line with the center’s future goals, and awaiting permission to conduct such workshops after the end of the Corona pandemic.

Several master’s and doctoral theses have been registered inside and outside the department. Their research plans are working in the field of nanometric research, which requires the presence of these students within the Nanotechnology Center.

Researcher Elham Hassan Abbas and researcher Shaima Emad El-Din Shaker, two assistant teachers in the department, were assigned, due to their previous experience in laboratory measurements, to determine how to coordinate between them regarding training and qualification of cadres within the laboratory.

Achievements in the period from 1/1/2021 to 3/30/2022

Both the researcher Elham Hassan Abbas and the researcher Shaima Emad El-Din Shaker, two assistant teachers in the department, were trained on some of the various measuring devices in the laboratory to gain laboratory experience in completing the research plan agreed upon by the supervisors of the doctoral thesis for both of them.

The researcher/ Faten Mohamed Abdel Wahab, teaching assistant in the department, was assigned because of her previous experience in laboratory measurements on how to coordinate with regard to training and qualification of cadres within the laboratory.

The future plan has been amended to conduct workshops inside the laboratory to accommodate the largest number of trainees in the optical and electrical measurements programs within the unit in line with the center’s future goals and to allow fourth-year students in various departments to benefit from the expertise of faculty members, according to the college administration’s assignment of a member of the department to follow up and work. A scientific conference on student research in projects submitted by each according to what his department deems appropriate

The department coordinated with the research laboratory equipment maintenance company and hosted it to repair the thermal evaporator device. It supports the work of samples that have a close relationship with the center, which adds a wide scope for obtaining future measurements that advance scientific research and the center.

The researcher/ Faten Muhammad Abdel Wahab, teaching assistant in the department, was trained on some of the different measuring devices in the laboratory in order to gain laboratory experience so that we can train new cadres who will work on renovating the laboratory in an integrated manner for future measurements.

Both the researcher Elham Hassan Abbas and the researcher Shaima Emad El-Din Shaker, two assistant teachers in the department, were assigned, due to their previous experience in laboratory measurements, to how to coordinate between them with regard to training and qualifying the cadres within the laboratory.

All devices were inventoried and each device was tested to determine the extent of its use. The inspection committee found that the devices as a whole are working well and that there is a sample cleaning unit in dire need of maintenance as it is one of the most important devices in the center, which necessitated submitting a request to the administration to do the necessary work for this device ( Ionic water purification device) and the request has been raised

Several master’s and doctoral theses have been registered inside and outside the department. Their research plans are working in the field of nanometric research, which requires the presence of these students within the Nanotechnology Center.
