LAUNCHING THE SECOND VIRTUAL EMPLOYMENT FORUM

in frame of state’s concern in youth and finding job opportunities for graduates to push the production and development cycle, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed, President of Aswan University, announced the convening of the virtual employment forum that will be held tomorrow, on Monday corresponding to 22/3/2021 , through the Internet technology “online” through the University Center for Professional Development at Aswan University and the University Centers for Career Development.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab added that the events of the virtual employment forum today, on Monday corresponding to 22/3/2021in participation with National Bank of Egypt and Vodafone for Smart Solutions ( the formal participants); as well as the forum is sponsored by great global and Egyptian companies in the various fields (Etisalat Egypt, Commercial International Bank, Raya Holding Company for Financial Investments, L’Oréal Egypt, Vodafone Egypt, Canal Sugar, Hassan Allam Group, Egyptian University for Private E-Education, Tabarak Company, Edita Food Industries, Badawy Group for Food Industries, Allianz Egypt and others in the fields of Food industries, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, securities, construction and reconstruction, energy, transportation, institute of communication technology and others).

Ghallab added the university is caring about providing job and training opportunities for students and graduates, while the virtual employment forum is considered an important step to deal with the developments of the current situation and take advantage of modern technological capabilities, as the University Center team worked to prepare graduates and students for this important event through specialized workshops. For conducting personal interviews, preparing a CV, and other means of support to ensure that students succeed in obtaining the best opportunities.

Ghallab explained that the forum is considered the second of its kind, while the first virtual forum achieved a great success in Sept, 2020 in the attendance of an elite of business owners, and 4000 students and graduates from 10 Egyptian universities( from Aswan to Alexandria). This initiative comes in the light of the university centers project which established until now 16 centers in 10 governmental universities in cooperation with the American Agency for International Development and this by a technical support from the American University in Cairo to block the gap between the university education and the needs of the labor market and industry through providing free professional guidance and training for students and graduates.

The virtual employment forum of the career development centers in the universities 2021 is considered a virtual event which through it the businessmen meet through using chat rooms-teleconferencing-webcasts-webinars; job seekers, final years and recent graduates upload their CVs, browse company pavilions and communicate directly with company representatives. Ghallab pointed out that the virtual forum uses a dynamic platform that supports business owners in liberating themselves from the limitations of traditional recruitment processes. Through this three-dimensional platform via the Internet, business owners and job seekers can now communicate hypothetically in a manner similar to the feeling of real direct interaction as well as creating opportunities and an example of networking.

Ghallab expresses his pleasure with the success of the university center in Aswan University regarding the active communication with companies, and the entering of the Egyptian University as a golden sponsor, Academic Al Salam School as a silver sponsor, and the Egyptian Development Company and Taha Abu Al Wafea Company for Contracting and Mines, and AM Company for Serving Solutions as a bronze sponsors.

Nile International Swimming Race

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed, President of Aswan University, announced that one of the most important recommendations of the International Forum for Sport Tourism – prospects and aspirations of (Aswan Ahla Initiative), which emerged from the womb of the presidential initiative, Sports National Security, that launched by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic and implemented by Aswan University through the Faculty of Physical Education.

Dr. Ahmed Ghallab added that the International Forum witnessed the conclusion of its events in the attendance of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi-Minister of Youth and Sports.

The forum was held under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Major General/ Ashraf Attia, Governor of Aswan. The forum was hosted by Aswan University and organized by the Faculty of Physical Education, and involved the most important recommendations about the announcing of holding the International Nile Championship of  in the 6th of the next October in Aswan Nile after hiatus continued for 25 years what reflects the joy of the athletes from the sons of this game in Aswan.

The university formed a sports technical and scientific committee in cooperation with the Swimming Federation. To inspect the competition venues and measure the degree of water in the Nile River in Aswan, and that the University harnesses all its capabilities from Nile boats and other game tools that help the success of this race that the people of Aswan are eagerly waiting for.

Eng. Yasser Idris, Chairman of the Swimming Federation and a member of the Board of Directors of the Olympic Committee, indicated that the establishment of the International Nile Swimming race in Aswan on the sixth of next October after a hiatus of nearly a quarter century, and that comes within the framework of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi’s initiative, “Sports is a National Security”, to confirm Egypt’s leadership on both levels (African and States).

ASWAN UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT PARTICIPATES IN THE SECOND VIRTUAL EMPLOYMENT FORUM 2021

Today, on Monday, the activities of the second virtual employment forum 2021 have been launched under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar-Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research online in participation with the University Centers for Career Development in cooperation with the American University and providing support by the American Agency for Development for 2022.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed-Aswan University President participated in this forum with 350 students and graduates with five visual and motor disabilities from Aswan University. Prof. Ahmed Ghallab stressed that the total number of the beneficiaries from the services of the University Center for Career Development since the opening of the center on the 16th of Jan.2020 achieved about 16.331 students and graduates and this by the participation with 6 local companies from Aswan governorates and 58 companies nationwide.

Prof.Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President expressed his happiness with the participation of the Aswan University in the second virtual employment forum, also welcomed Dr. Ayman Ashour– Deputy Minister of Higher Education for University Affairs, Dr. Ashraf Hatem, the American University advisor, and the presidents of the ten participating universities, stressing on the important role of the University Center for Career Development and works on qualifying graduates and linking them with the needs of the labor market, in the attendance of the teamwork of University Center for Career Development.
