Student Activity Day events of Faculty of Science

The students’ activity for Fourth year will start today 22/3/2022 at 1:00 pm, preparing for training event of the project (The 1st International students’ conference for final grade_ undergraduate students graduation research of Faculty of Science – Aswan University) ((ISCGU 2021-2022))

The lecturers were both of:

Prof. Alaa hassan Noor El-Din _ Vice dean for society service and environment development affairs.

Prof. Moharam El-Sayed Abdel-khair _ Lecturer in Physics department_ project proponent.

The project and the training received the positive interaction from students, and inquired about some of the points that raise their concerns and they found in the responses what reassured them, and the project was well received by students when they fully understood the project. Many students volunteered and were willing to participate until the project is successful.

 

 

University President’s Resolution to form the Quality Assurance Unit

Faculty of Law is in its new form and under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Othman and in implementing the directives of His Excellency Prof. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, and based on the memorandum submitted by Dr. Abdel Aziz Saad_ Vice Dean of Faculty of Law for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Faculty of Law, in an attempt by his sovereignty to promote and upgrade Faculty of Law in light of the policy of the Ministry of Higher Education system in the universities to establish quality assurance and academic accreditation unit at Faculty of Law, The University president approved the formation of the Board of Directors of Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Unit at Faculty of Law, provided that the composition is as follows: Dr. / Abdel Aziz Saad _ Vice-Chairman of Board of Directors of the Quality Assurance Unit of Faculty of Law

Dr. Saleh Omar Ahmed _ Director of Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty.

Dr. Khaled Ahmed Saleh _ Deputy Director of Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty.

The Executive Council for Quality Assurance was also formed at the faculty, with Ms. Asmaa Sayed Ibrahim as the head of the technical office.

Launching the first Egyptian hackathon for smart cities

In light of Egypt vision 2030, Egypt is rapidly transforming to Digital Economy based on knowledge that encourages the innovation, research and development, and as a main part of this vision, the new administrative capital is being built to be the first smart city in Egypt. Believing in the role of higher education and scientific research in supporting this transformation and in this regard and in frame of the preparations for launching the First Egyptian hackathon on level of state in the topic of smart cities in cooperation with Benha University and Amazon global Company through which teams of Egyptian public university students will compete to find innovative solutions in the following fields:

(Smart Buildings- Smart Facilities- Smart Gardens- Smart transportation/ traffic- Smart Hospital – smart recycling- smart monitoring – smart energy – smart administration –smart Schools and universities).

The participating teams will be qualified through webinars presented by Amazon experts for a week, and practical training will be provided to qualified teams in innovation centers and internet laboratories spread across Egyptian universities.

The qualified teams will be hosted for a period of 3 days at Benha University, and presenting the necessary support, direction and guidance will be provided to them to build and develop prototypes of their innovations, provided that the final arbitration will be done by specialized experts, and the results will be announced and the awards will be handed over to Benha University on the third day.

On the other hand, the winner will receive financial prizes on total 100,000 Egyptian pounds, provided by Benha University, in addition to valuable prizes provided by Amazon. The winners will also have a great opportunity to market their innovations to the new Egyptian private universities.
