In line with the Faculty of Science’s commitment to supporting scientific research and developing the skills of researchers and Academic staff, the Faculty’s Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics announces a specialized training course entitled “LaTeX for Writing Research Papers and Theses.”

The course aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to use LaTeX software in preparing and formatting scientific research papers and theses according to international standards, thereby contributing to raising the quality of research output and increasing opportunities for publication in prestigious scientific journals.

The course includes several important topics, most notably:

Fundamentals of using LaTeX.

Professional formatting and presentation of scientific research.

Preparing theses.

Writing standards for international journals.

Introduction to tools and resources that assist researchers.

The course is designed for Academic staff and teaching assistants. Each participant must have a laptop. The course will be held over three days, either in person or online, and will begin as soon as the required number of participants is reached.

The Center’s administration invites all those interested to take advantage of this unique opportunity to develop their skills in preparing scientific research and enhance their competence in the field of international academic publishing.

Under the patronage of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Egypt is hosting the third edition of the African Presidential Youth Competition in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, organized in collaboration with the African Union Development Agency and the Elevate AI Africa Initiative. This event reflects Egypt’s growing commitment to supporting digital transformation and fostering innovation across Africa.

The competition is jointly organized by several regional and international organizations, including the International Telecommunication Union, the African Development Bank, the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, the African Export-Import Bank, as well as a number of leading global companies in the field of information and communication technology.

By hosting this competition, Egypt continues to strengthen its leadership in digital innovation across the region through the implementation of national initiatives and the adoption of an ambitious vision to create an integrated ecosystem that supports advanced technologies. This initiative also demonstrates Egypt’s commitment to empowering African youth, enhancing cooperation among African countries, and accelerating the transition toward a competitive, knowledge-based economy.
