“Student Guide to Quality” — Enhancing Awareness of Students’ Role in Ensuring the Quality of Education

Under the patronage of Prof. Abo El-Hamd Hassan Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Science, the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit at Faculty organized a workshop on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, entitled “Student Guide to Quality.” The workshop was delivered by Dr. Noura Sharkawy Abazeid, Assistant Professor at the Department of Botany.

The workshop was held as part of the Faculty’s commitment to promoting a culture of quality among students and raising their awareness of their vital role in supporting the system of quality assurance in education and striving toward achieving academic accreditation.

The workshop covered several key themes, including an introduction to the concept of quality in higher education, accreditation standards, mechanisms for students to evaluate courses and Academic staff, and ways to submit constructive proposals that contribute to improving academic performance within the Faculty.

The event witnessed remarkable attendance and strong interaction from students, who expressed their appreciation for such initiatives that actively engage them in the processes of development and decision-making.
