Aswan University President inspects first semester exams

Today, Aswan University President Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed followed the first semester exams,

He inspected functioning of exams process at faculty of Commerce in Abo Al-Rish, accompanied by Dr. Mostafa Haseeb_ Faculty Dean _and Vice Deans.  

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab confirmed that the university administration continues to reassure functioning of exams process and ensure that precautionary measures are applied to protect against corona virus, follow up the problems of our students, and communicating directly

University president added that the university is working to harness all the university’s potentials and medical services to create a safe, appropriate and comfortable environment for students during the exams, as Aswan University students in its all faculties reach 29,000 students who perform exams, starting from last Saturday, 27th February 2021.

 Stressing the importance of daily follow-up through crisis management committees formed in all faculties and the central administration to avoid our students from getting infected with corona virus and to carry out sterilization works daily and permanent basis.

 

Accrediting the First Entrepreneurship Contest result at Aswan University

Aswan University President Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed accredited Entrepreneurship contest result for students of Aswan University, which was announced in January 2021 by the University’s Entrepreneurship Club in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology headed by Dr. Mahmoud Saqr. The contest is entitled ” Aswan University students are Distinguished Entrepreneurs” under the supervision of Prof. Ayman Othman_ Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

Dr. Abo El-Hassan El-Shazli Ahmed Younes_ club’s manager_ stated that 24 individual contestants and 13 teams has applied, with a total of 34 contestants within the teams, and a total of 58 contestants. After the first evaluation phase, the number of applicants for the contest after excluding those who did not fulfill the conditions became 16 individual contestants and 13 teams, with a total of 34 contestants within teams, and a total of 50 contestants. And in the semi-final qualifiers, the final numbers of contestants who were ready to enter the final competition are 6 individual contestants and 9 teams, with a total of 25 contestants within the teams, and a total of 31 contestants.

The final qualifiers of the contest took place through the jury meeting formed with the approval of Aswan University president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab, and the trade-off procedures was made between the projects submitted in the two branches of the competition and experts from inside and outside the university participated in the arbitration by applying unified criteria, where the result was as follows:

(A) Individuals contest

First place:

Factory of manufacturing natural and aromatic oils distillation devices running by solar energy

Second place:

Modified ventilator. (EFHA. Vent)

 

(B) Teams contest

First place:

Manufacture of fish feed from fish processing waste

Second place:

 Azo feed

Third place:

Educational application for children with autism

Dr. Mohamed Gaber Abbas_ University Entrepreneurship Coordinator_ added that the prizes include a period of support and qualification for the winning projects to participate in the Entrepreneurship of Egyptian universities at the republic level and incentive financial awards for 14 students from Aswan University.

Holding a round table on “Restructuring Labor Market in Aswan Governorate in Light of COVID 19 Pandemic”

Aswan University president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed_ declared that as part of the effort of Aswan University for continuous communication to connect university graduates and students with the needs of labor market. University’s Professional Development Center is preparing to hold a round table next Sunday, 28th February 2021, entitled “Restructuring the Labor Market in Aswan Governorate in Light of COVID 19 Pandemic” Toward a new strategy to keep pace with future jobs, which aims to discuss developments in labor market and the economic impacts of COVID 19 crisis and its impact on employment requirements, in the near or distant future.

Aswan University President Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed added that we are working on serving our students and graduates to keep pace with recent developments in labor market, to be qualified to compete and keep up with Everything that’s new .

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab indicated that the university is about to host this meeting, which brings together many companies and authorities representing all different sectors in Aswan Governorate. On the sidelines of the meeting, the University Center for Career Development will sign a cooperation agreement with Al-Tawfiq Construction Company and Al-Salam Academy School and that will provide practical training opportunities to university students in various work places.
