Digital Egypt Builders Grant

Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_ Acting president of Aswan university_ received Dr. Amr Talaat _Minister of communication and information Technology, Major General / Ashraf Attia _Aswan University _ and a delegation of Minister of Communication and that to inspect the Egypt Digital Innovation Center in Aswan University in Sahari.

Prof. Ayman Othman declared that the Egypt Digital Innovation Center consider an addition to Aswan University to keep pace with change and development which the country is witnessing in digital transformation and implementing Egypt’s Vision 2030 through the trainings provided by the center to university students.

On the other hand, the Minister listened to an explanation about the center from Eng. Ahmed Salem – director of the center – which consists of a building and a garden on an area of ​​5,000 square meters inside the university campus in Sahari. And it consisted of two floors, 9 study labs equipped with most modern means, 3 Lecture halls, a center for creativity, and the center is connected to the Internet by a high-speed line and covered with a wireless Internet network. The center also contains embedded systems laboratories and the Internet.

It is worth noting that the center provides services to three authorities affiliated to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, which are the Institute of Information Technology, the National Telecommunication Institute, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Center. The center provides training services on a wide range of skills related to information technology, through university students and graduates scholarships.

The Minister of Communications held an open meeting with students and trainees at the center, and this came in attendance of Major General. Ashraf Attia – Governor of Aswan, Prof. Ayman Othman – Acting President of Aswan University – Prof. Loay Saad El Din – Dean of Faculty of Engineering – and Eng. Ahmed Salem – Director of the Digital Egypt Creativity Center.
