Aswan University participates in a workshop to prepare the refugee teachers project

Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman_ Aswan University president_ declared that Aswan University participated in a workshop to prepare refugee, immigrant, expatriates and emergency teachers, and a delegation from the university, headed by Dr. Nady Kamal Aziz Gerges_ Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center at university participated in the workshop.

His Excellency added that the workshop dealt with the achievements and offers of each university participating in the project, which is Aswan University and 7 other universities, that are Al-Azhar University, 6 October, Zagazig and Heliopolis from Egypt, Crete University from Greece, Frederick University from Cyprus and Bath University from the United Kingdom, under the auspices of Heliopolis University, the main coordinator of the project.

Dr. Nady Kamal Aziz explained that what was included in the Arab-European Network on refugee and immigrant education was presented, while presenting the importance of using the distinguished laboratory of information technology in each faculty to train students and teachers during the service, with a focus on using strategies and teaching methods that keep pace with the era of digital transformation, and planning for the final stage of the project in light of its objectives, publishing in all ways about the project, its objectives and achievements, as well as publishing research related to the project and Education quality and an expanded conference on the project will be held during October 2022.

Honoring the international medical convoy delegation of Aswan university

In frame of Health efforts that made by the second medical convoy of Aswan University in Tanzania under patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar_ Minister of Higher Education and Scientific research and Acting Minister of Health_ and Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman _Aswan University President_ during the period from 7th to 14th May 2022 and working on the medical service for citizens in Tanzania.

Dr. Hussein Ali_ President of Zanzibar Republic_ received the members of the medical convoy of Aswan University and honored them and that in attendance of the Tanzanian Minister of Health Mr. Nassor Ahmed and the Cooperative Egyptian medical team.

Dr. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshouri _Faculty of Medicine dean_ said that we are pleased with this honor from the Tanzanian side and we dedicate this honor to the political leadership, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi_ President of the Republic_ Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar_ Minister of Higher Education and scientific research and acting Minister of Health, Dr. Ayman Othman _Aswan University president.

Dr. Al-Dahshoury added this honor come as a result of the efforts of the second international medical Convoy of Aswan University in Tanzania that performed more than 53 surgeries and examined thousands of patients in different specialties with providing free treatment, the convoy was not only a service, but an educational one to transfer expertise to create medical cadres in the field of urology and orthopedics in Tanzania.     

Aswan University Participates in the First Conference of the Immune Modulation Project

Aswan University, headed by Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Aswan University President_ participated as one of the members and partners of the Immunological Changes Project in the first conference of the project at Al-Azhar University Conferences Hall.

Dr. Nady Kamal Aziz confirmed that Aswan University presented the questionnaire that was applied to some members of society in the governorates of Egypt and its results. The questionnaire consisted of 40 phrases and was applied to 103 individuals. Aswan governorate had the largest share of 22%, followed by Cairo governorate with 18%.

One of the most important results of the questionnaire was that most of the sample members get their information about immune changes and their relationship to climate changes from media and social media and that the individual’s psychological state, stress and tension affect the immune status of that person.

Therefore, the conference recommended the educational and scientific role of schools and universities in communicating the new in this topic and other ones through scientific and cultural symposiums, artistic and sports activities and others.
