Aswan University’s Faculty of Science hosts Prof. Reda Abdel Rahman in a distinguished scientific day.

As a culmination of the fruitful scientific cooperation between Aswan and Assiut Universities, the Department of Zoology hosted Prof. Reda Abdel Rahman Ali, Professor Emeritus of Experimental Embryology at the Faculty of Science, Assiut University, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. He delivered a rich scientific lecture in the seminar hall of the administration building, entitled:

“A Little Molecule… A Great Impact.” The event was attended by Prof. Khaled Fouad Abdel Wakil, Professor of Invertebrate Ecology at the Faculty of Science, Assiut University. Also present were prominent figures from the Faculty of Science, Aswan University:

  • Prof. Essam Abdel Salam Shaalan, Dean of the Faculty.
  • Prof. Moataz Refaat Mohamed, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research.
  • Prof. Osama Ahmed Mehallal, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

In addition, the heads of the scientific departments, Academic staff, teaching assistants, and researchers. The lecture was followed by a rich and fruitful scientific discussion moderated by Prof. Alaa El-Din Salah El-Din, Head of the Zoology Department.

In his address, Prof. Essam Abdel Salam Shaalan, Dean of the Faculty, stated that establishing scientific partnerships is the cornerstone of advancing the Faculty’s research system and supporting young researchers to reach advanced scientific levels. He added that this valuable lecture is an extension of the Faculty’s mission to transfer the profound expertise of leading figures in scientific research to our rising generations, and contributes directly to enriching the scientific thinking of young researchers and opening new horizons for innovation.
