1- Contributing to the identification of natural hazards such as torrents, earthquakes, droughts, desertification, sand dunes encroachment on urban areas, plantations, and silting in the High Dam Lake, sandstorms, and others, and studying them with a view to finding appropriate solutions to them.
2- Establishing the necessary information and data bases to reduce the devastating effects of natural hazards on the one hand and trying to benefit from their possible positive effects.
3- Preparing academic, applied, consulting, training and Media studies in the field of unit specialization.
