About the center:
Laboratory establishment data:
The approval of the Aswan University Council to establish the laboratory was in its session on 29/5/2013
The approval of the Basic Sciences Sector Committee to establish the laboratory was in its session on 15/5/2014
The decision of the Supreme Council of Universities to establish the laboratory was in its session on 23/8/2014
Laboratory square: (107.45 Square Meters)
the capacity of the lab: 20 students.
Lab activities:
1-synthesis of nanomaterials using both Sol-Gel Technique and Hydrothermal Technique, that they are two technologies through which high purity nanomaterials can be obtained in many forms such as powders, high-mass density ceramic materials, materials High porosity. Deposition of thin films, ultra-thin films of nanomaterials using both techniques of spray pyrolysis, spin-coating and dip-coating.
2-Distinguishing the products of synthesis or deposition from nanometric materials and analyzing the outputs of the discrimination by using software that will process those outputs and evaluate the factors that are related to the application.
3-Measurements are carried out with high accuracy and in a standard manner due to the fact that the lab contains: Fixtures, a ground system with an equivalent resistance in the range of 0.5 Ω.
The lab contains many measurement techniques, including electrical, optical, photovoltaic techniques, electrical insulating properties of nanomaterials, and measurements related to renewable energy materials such as photovoltaic cells (PV cells).
lab equipment:
1- A ground system with an equivalent resistance in the range of 0.5 Ω, which was built on a sufficient area next to the laboratory to accommodate 15 (fifteen) electrical charges leakage wells, and it was insulated with an iron fence. The system would secure the work of scientific devices and laboratory arrangements and reduce the chances of their damage, in addition to the importance of the system in obtaining very accurate results for the measurements available inside the laboratory.
2-Techniques for the synthesis of nanometric materials, as well as techniques for manufacturing thin films from those materials, as well as techniques for identification and measurement of products.
3-Construction equipment such as benches and basins, various electrical sockets networks to suit many uses, earthing networks to secure all the technical equipment inside the center.
4- A switch with 16-point to connect the internal network for data transmission and the Internet, which will allow measurements to be made on any practical measurement equipment with the help of international institutions that produce measurement software, as these institutions can address installation errors and setup programs from their site at the same time as the measurement procedure.
